Re: Lawrence's Thread
Oh he's so handsome! That's a good idea about the pegs! I have my syrian Chibs in an Alaska and he's always been super happy in there, but lately he's started to bar bite for attention. I think he gets jealous/impatient and doesn't like waiting his turn lol! I out some cardboard in, but he just pulls that off and continues. Might try the pegs thing myself!

Re: Lawrence's Thread
Badwolf, I tried the cardboard trick aswel. I was having to get up every few 10 minutes and fix the cardboard or adjust it because he was biting little semi circles or strips on the edges leaving little teeth holes and then tearing the chunk off as if it was made of tissuepaper! Once he had a space big enough (which didn't take long) he would be back at the bars! He seemed to think this was a great game. I don't think we are out of the woods yet but it has definitely improved. He has chewed a few of he pegs but mainly just uses them as a perch to climb up on.

Re: Lawrence's Thread
Chibs tends to just do it in the one spot. He stops if I talk or look at him. He's quite a lazy boy in general. I know it isn't lack of space/toys that's doing it. Going to try and line then up in his usual spot and see what happens! Also I just noticed the upside down coconut hut. Might steal that idea too!

Re: Lawrence's Thread
Lawrence is so adorable - especially as his eyes are different colours - all the photos of him are so cute. Your cage layout looks really nice.

Re: Lawrence's Thread
It seems Lawrence's familiarity with his treat box has led to a new level of cheekiness!!
I was fishing around at the bottom of the box for a smaller sized yogurt drop as a tiny treat as he had already had some pasta earlier that evening but he was being cute and I am putty in his little hamster paws! Anyway, I was holding the box in front of me quite near his cage door when Lawrence came up, grabbed a milky bone that was near the top of the box and ran into his tube! He deposited it half way up so I couldn't get to it and then came back out looking for the yogurt drop that had been promised!!
My fingers were in the box at the time but he didn't seem to care! I fear I have produced a very spoiled little monster!!
