What do you feed your hamster?

Hello everyone,

I’m back after a long break after losing my little Noah. At just over 3 years old we had to make the decision to put him to sleep, we miss him dearly

Recently I have been feeling that hamster feeling again so I’m back to researching new updated information before I get another wee friend. I’m curious, what is everyone feeding their hamster now? I used to use Harry hamster with a mix of science selective but I’ve been reading some negative reviews, apparently the quality is worse? I was recommended to have a look on Etsy but there are so many mixes to choose from and different sellers.

I still use Harry Hamster; I haven't yet seen a reason not to, but then, I haven't really been looking. But, I also give my hamsters a species-specific mix from Rodipet, and mix the two approximately 50/50. The Rodipet mixes are rather expensive compared to others, especially with delivery fees, but I've found that they last me a long while, and I've been happy with my hamsters' health while on the two combined mixes.

I feed Robin's Gourmet food from Etsy (they have their own website now as well, I believe?) However, they're a U.S. based business so I'm not sure how much shipping would be- I imagine there might be a similar mix somewhere from a business closer to you. I also offer Mazuri Mouse & Rat pellets as recommended by the seller for micronutrients.

i feed a brand called Bunny they have a few different mixes but i use the hamster dream vegetable mix for my syrian and the dwarf mix for my dwarfs its the best seed mix ive come across where my hamsters actually eat everything and they even add mealworms into the mix too

i used to feed harry hamster but half the bag would get wasted because the hammy's wouldnt eat the corn or the big dog biscuit looking things and those 2 things would be most of the bag so it seemed pointless getting it. not only do i feed the bunny mix but i also throw in the pets at home pellets or "nuggets" and they seem to love those too
