Default What nuts are ok for hammies?

We bought a mini pack of mixed nuts, some I will eat myself, and we were wondering if any nuts were a no no for them. Ours is a Syrian and the nuts in the pack are hazelnuts, almonds, brazil nuts (high in fat those!) and cashews, which I'm not keen on. Are these all ok for her?

Those are all fine, all nuts are high in fat though so not too much of a good thing!

As a side note, is sisal ok? A lot of rodent toys use it as a fastener/joiner so I'd assume it to be ok, but it stinks and I see its derived from an Agave (which is the source of tequila)

Sisal is fine if it is untreated with no additives I think a lot of sisal tends to have odor at first, but if it doesn't go away with airing out then I'd not use it.Hemp and jute are also good options, again if untreated(no dyes either for any material, but you can make dye from hamster safe produce).

They're all okay to give, though nuts are fatty like cypher said, so feed sparingly!
Sisal string is also perfectly safe to use, and is better than most available here's a list of some safe nuts and seeds.

"Pine nuts
Quinoa
Peanuts (monkey nuts)
Walnuts
Sweet almonds (deshelled; NOT bitter)
Brazil nuts
Beech nuts
Millet
Hazelnuts
Pecans
Pistachios
Cashews
Flax seeds (excellent for coat health!)
Chia seeds
Sunflower seeds
Pumpkin seeds
Sesame seeds
Chestnuts
Niger seeds"

If you have any other questions, please ask!
