Is anyone interested in fostering/adopting older hams in New England (MA, RI, NH)
I realize that most people on here are probably from the UK but the rescue I work with is at full capacity and I am also full right now. If you are in this area and would be interested in fostering/adopting an older ham who needs a retirement home, feel free to private message me.
Each hamster that is fostered or adopted would come with a 50 gallon, bin, bedding, food, a wheel, etc.
This is one of the hamsters in need of a retirement home:
Appa is an almost 2 year old dwarf hybrid I picked up off Craigslist. He does have cage aggression after spending almost 2 years in a shoe box.

Disclosure: There would be a vetting process to make sure you have the room and time to take care of an animal.

Re: Is anyone interested in fostering/adopting older hams in New England (MA, RI, NH)
I’m from the uk so I can’t help, currently I couldn’t anyway because of the limited space but this is just so sad! I loved the video, I talk to my pets too lol they have whole life stories. But the minimum a hamster should have is a wheel, there isn’t even any chews toys and to be like that for two years! I’ve made mistakes in the past with my hamsters but how can someone keep one in there and not think it is bored I just do not understand.
I see videos like this and wish I had a massive house to help! Poor little thing

Aww, it's you, my YouTube channel is Cosmic Hamsters, we commented to each other about hamster room videos the other day
I don't suppose you are on instagram? It's a great way to find homes for rescued hamsters

Re: Is anyone interested in fostering/adopting older hams in New England (MA, RI, NH)
Does anyone know of other hamster boards/communities that people might be looking for adoptions? I'm on hamsterhideout but I wasn't sure of any others.
I have been looking for like a hamster owners club but it does not appear such a thing exists in the New England area. I think in America, hamsters are the "children's pet".
