Guinea Pig, sneezy, wet nose, slight head lean?
Can someone give me an idea on what's going on with a guinea pig that is all of a sudden sneezing more that usual, has a wetter nose than usual, and a little bit of a head lean? It is not losing appetite/drinking, seems as energetic but isn't jumping and running as much as usual.

Re: Guinea Pig, sneezy, wet nose, slight head lean?
I would advise you take your Guinea pig to the vets.
Head tilt can be a sign of a possible ear infection but could be other causes and will need medications to cure. Any tilt in the head needs to be seen by a vet as this could potentially cause them to lose their appetite which would be very bad for Guinea pig and could lead to gut stasis which could be fatal.
Sneezing and runny nose can be a sign of a respiratory infections but hard to say without seeing your Guinea pig. If this is still ongoing getting your Guinea pig to the vets will be the best thing and they will be able to listen to the lungs and put on a course of medication if necessary

Re: Guinea Pig, sneezy, wet nose, slight head lean?
Thank you SKB_Hamsters for your reply and advise. We haven't been able to take him to a vet because of the expense, but so far this guy is doing better on his own. Hopefully this will continue. I saw an over-the-counter ear rinse that I'll probably get soon. Thank you again, I sure do appreciate the reply and concern for this small pet.
