Default A new baby <3

So I'd been wanting a puppy for a long time and when we lost our current dog Garm's brother Alfie nearly 2 years ago, we'd been contemplating getting him a little friend. I live at home with my parents whilst saving for a house deposit and Garm is technically the family dog and my parents can't afford the financial implications of a second dog. We revisited me wanting a puppy and the search started.
I absolutely love terriers (Garm is a terrier mix) and have been in love with Norfolk terriers for such a long time. Anyone who's looked into the breed knows the waiting lists are generally high for a little Norfie so I fully expected to be waiting a year or more.
Anyway, call it a twist of fate or luck, I ended up in touch with a breeder (as a result of someone trying to wrongly sell a dog they'd brought from him) and he told me he may have a litter due in March. We chatted on the phone a couple of weeks later and he said as I'd helped him get his other dog back, he felt he owed me and said depending on litter number, there may be a puppy for me.
Fast forward to a week ago and I picked up my beautiful little baby!
So I' like everyone to meet little Bumblebee. She'll be 9 weeks old tomorrow and has been with me for a eek. She's full of sass and has already found her bark

The day we brought her home

Adorable! You must be so happy. Sleepless nights coming up? Lol. Last time I had a puppy I'd be up half the night sending her back to bed as part of the training to stay in her bed. It was an open plan bungalow and even if we shut the living room door the noise and scratching was so bad and she even chewed a hole in the wall trying to get out! The solution was - with the help of a dog training book - leave all the doors open and train her to stay in her bed until morning.

So sleepless nights for a week - and then boom - it worked!

She is absolutely adorable! A little cutie.

I share your love for terriers and used to have a wheaten coloured cairn terrier. They are so intelligent and their spirit and courage is admirable.

I am, I love her to bits ^_^
Oh yes, lots of sleepless nights, she has a crate which is in my room. Trying to crack housetraining at the moment but no matter how much I wake up, she's still messing in her crate although it's getting less now.

Thank you! They're just the best aren't they? I think they have the most amazing little personalities and are so funny. I do love Cairn's, they're so cute

Aww she's adorable! Could pick her up and take her home with me though I doubt Pebbles would be impressed lol. Toilet training can be a nightmare. Pebbles is 4 and only now I'd say she's 90% ok. She had a terrible past though but the way you go about it is the same. Put out every hour, praise when they go in the right place. Increase in 30 minute increments. If she messes just ignore and clean it up. She'll get there soon enough. Enjoy her when she's small they soon grow up.
