I hear rabbit bonding can be quite intense. Gerbil bonding is not difficult as such, it just requires a lot of patience. First the patience to have them in the divided tank for several weeks without jumping ahead in the process and messing things up, and then when you finally remove the divider, the patience to sit next to a tank and watch them for 12 hours.
