Yep I have 2 of the 120cm Borneos - they are fantastic cages! Big front door, lots of space and narrow bar spacing..... Who could ask for more?!

Oh, and they flat-pack! That was very, very useful when we were moving house.

I hadn't seen that idea about the screw-in things! Wow! I have some of these already as they make great hopping perches for the rat cages. I was considering Sugru too but not sure if it's non-toxic. Thank you!!

I think the Duna is definitely a front-runner and I'm hoping to convince husband to keep it in the living room for a while......

Yes I've kept many different animals - rodents are a passion of mine which started with gerbils. The Multis are my most exotic pet at the moment - they have been a very pleasant surprise as they are fantastic little critters and have got much tamer than I imagined they could do. I'd love to have Harvest Mice in the future too. Mouse-like Hamsters are a pet I would really love to have but they seem very rare and I couldn't stoop to sourcing them from less reputable places such as Simons Rodents.

There are some nice pics of the maxi duna on this thread of Barley's I believe the door is much easier to open and close than the Zoozone as well. Never heard of Sugru - just had to look it up! Bolt type perch might be safer I guess.

Thank you!

I've been browsing Rodipet lol. I think the Food / Drink house would be great...... Love the Wodent wheel platforms, and the labyrinth houses and the shelves......

Thought I could use bendy logs to create a deep burrowing area and a shallower area for other bits.

Another option I've looked at is a Vivarium but I'd have to modify it to make it suitable for rodents. I could stack the Borneo cages on top of it though. The Vivaexotic Extra Large Reptihome is 135cm x 49cm (front to back) so would give fantastic floor space. But I'd need to create a waterproof floor etc. I used a Vivarium in the past for Roborovski hamsters - it worked well but we added extra ventilation and I soon realised it needed something at the front to stop bedding coming out / blocking the sliding doors. But the space it offers would be amazing lol.

Those vivariums are a great size. I was always put off by having to cut them and add ventilation panels as I don't like diy. Rodipet website is addictive! The food and drink house is good as it provides a bottle stand as well. Not sure how many Steppe Lemmings you were getting - do they need a house each or not?

I think the advice is to provide one each so they can get away from each other if needed. I've read a few times that houses with multiple access points are best too.

Rodipet actually sell lemming food too!!

If you do go for the maxi duna multy they are sometimes for sale as returns on amazon. Mine looked brand new and was only 52.00.
