Re: Introducing Moo Cow, and Oh Wow
Still trying to get my dad to agree to a ball python(royal python in the UK)before that will happen. If not,I'm probably getting a leopard gecko or some other lizard anyways They're all lovely creatures though, and extremely important to the ecosystem in the wild.Without predators, the whole ecosystem would end up collapsing for various reasons
Frozen thawed is always preferred by reputable sources of information, for both the sake of the rodents involved as well as the reptiles as live rodents are of course dangerous for various reasons.
I'd make a thread for any pets I have once I move though, but for now all I've got are very sad stories with lots of death and things that aren't very nice

I think your mice look like hamsters with long tails
Very nice marking! I saw a chocolate & white mouse at the pet store & thought it looked real cute. I don't know how to take care of mice or rats but rats have a longer life span so maybe one day I'll own a rat? Doubt it but you never know?

Lol I thought that too! Maybe because they're pregnant they look more hamsterish - but the colouring too Maybe they're fancy hamsters ha ha! Seriously though I wonder if it was that colouring that drew you to them Nancy - they do look lovely.

I didn't know that snakes in captivity eat frozen then thawed rodents. I always thought they were alive rodents but I don't know much about snakes.

A lot of people don't know much at all about captive reptiles It's definitely good to learn though as it can help eliminate a lot of biases and harmful stereotypes!
