Hello from Alfie He's covered in shaved patches from scans & blood tests, and has lost over a kilo in weight (and he was only 6.4 kilos to start with!!) but he's on the mend and that's all that matters.

His most recent blood tests showed that his pancreas levels have returned to normal so he is over the attack of pancreatitis. However an ultrasound showed he has a thickening of his stomach lining, which is a bit like scar tissue. This is because he was being tube fed for a few days so had nothing in his stomach, and his stomach acids started to damage his tummy. He's on new tablets to help protect his stomach from further damage and has a special diet. He's now able to eat by himself and is keeping food down, so hopefully he'll put some weight back on.

He says a massive thank you & sends a big Westie cuddle to you all for keeping him in your thoughts xx

Having some gentle walks.

Enjoying a good chew.

Getting lots of much needed rest.

And looking cute!

Aww! Alfie you are the most bravest doggie I've met! You really are a miracle. I'm so happy to hear you're recovering well and you have truly melted my heart. Big Big kisses & hugs to you. If I could do a lick nose kiss I would lol!
Barley, I'm so happy for you, great pics of your wonderful man, especially that last pic - so blooming cute!
The both of you have a truly amazing bond. xxx

Good to see Alfie up and about again though the resting photo with his patches shows how much he has been through poor boy. That last photo is adorable. The expression - so full of love for you too! What a boy.

It's been a really, really hard slog. It was dreadful seeing him so poorly. He's my little fighter though, he certainly wasn't ready to give up. We have another check up at the vets tomorrow evening, but he's doing really well
