Re: Reptiles anyone?
I personally find rodents more entertaining, you see them do loads of stuff and you can tame them, whereas some reptiles you can't tame, and most of them spend a lot of the time basking, or they're sleeping. I've never really seen a reptile do much, haha But they are attractive to look at. And if they are tame, they're lovely to handle.

Re: Reptiles anyone?
They just have their unique appeal is all Even if they're not the most interactive animals(though some lizards are)they're still very entertaining and some are very docile. For example though, you do have lots of intelligent lizards out there like the tegu for example or the iguana but of course they're very large lizards that just aren't suitable for everyone.

Re: Reptiles anyone?
I've never seen them really do anything so I can't really say anything about them haha The college I go to has quite a few reptiles, they just eat and bask all the time, same with the reptiles in tropical world (I did work experience there as part of college course). I guess the most intelligent species require specialist care though, Iguanas can be very dangerous too. I'm not saying rodents are better Just that I prefer them.

Re: Reptiles anyone?
Of course!Everyone has their own preference when it comes to pets Yes,iguanas can be very dangerous, but then again any animal has their own risks involved.Mainly it's the tail and the teeth,as well as the claws and the sheer size of them. It's not cheap either, considering what goes into making the right enclosure and the struggle for the right care as well.

I have a Desert Tortoise named Touché! She free roams in my backyard and harasses my golden retriever. She is super friendly and quite large. Still growing though! She's only about 3.5 years old. Maybe 4. She will see you and come right up to you wanting she'll pets and to step all over your feet.

Re: Reptiles anyone?
I have a normal morph leopard gecko called Cleo and a hypo(I am not certain, looks similar to a Carolina with barely any black) corn snake called Red.
Cleo doesn't do much, but she is lovely to hold (far better than Freddy!) and is fun to watch eating as she chases the mealworms. She also tries to slide her cage open when she wants out with her little hands!
Red hides most of the time but when he comes out he won't rest... Sometimes he will be awake for days on end, but only of occasion. I have had him since a hatchling at which time I held him in a box - he could be very fast. Now he is very calm though and is a joy to handle.

Re: Reptiles anyone?
I have 2 Corn snakes, (did have 3 at one time, but my baby one died earlier this year).
Inca is my Anerytheristic Corn Snake. She is about 3 years old...will be 4 in January and is as stubborn as hell lol. But once I start handling her she does become more curious and starts to explore my arms, neck, hair and surroundings lol.
Aztec is my Okeetee Corn Snake. He is just over 1 1/2 years old and basically hides all the time, unless food is offered or something he wants outside...normally my fleece hoodie lol.
I also have 5 tarantulas, of varying ages and types lol.
Mweekie xx
