Re: Good and bad news about my guinea pig...........
Have you spoken to a rescue centre? They will usually try and bond them with others for you. It might be that he is better with one sex than the other and they will be able to advise you. They will also be neutered if you get them from a rescue centre. You mentioned that his previous owners got him from a rescue so is he also neutered?

I'd assume the say was as you'd tell with any male animal ... But if he was from a rescue they may have done it. Did they not mention it?

Re: Good and bad news about my guinea pig...........
I'd suggest getting him neutered then and letting him rest and after the rest period introduce a spayed female. He's still a fairly young guinea pig,so there's no reason not to give that a chance.

Depends how long ago it was done - if he has been with another owner then the hair will have grown back by now.
Get a vet to check if he still has some testicles... Or ask the rescue/people you got him from if they know!
