Crufts
I know there is a few dog folk on here too - anyone off to Crufts this year, or even just going to be watching it?
Highlight of my year and I'm very excited. I'll be there Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Re: Crufts
Never had a dog but love them, I will most definitely be watching it on TV. My favourite breed is the biscuit coloured English cocker spaniel. Fond of Yorkies, King Charles Spaniels and ship tzus too.

Re: Crufts
Give a pat to the Cardigan Welsh Corgi from me. I used to Show and Raise CWC and my lines are still having and influence on the breed in the USA this day. My last CWC is going to be 8 Years old in April, and she is now spayed and doing a skill activity called Barn Hunt. She lives with my friend in Michigan when I gave her up due to me being far to busy with Church activities to properly tend a dog. I now enjoy her from a far but still feel she is part of the family.
Her only litter is now 2 years old and her daughter was the winner of a Group 2 in the United Kennel Club show, and she has her Masters title in Barn hunting.
Tierra N QT with Kats grandkids-a.jpg
Tierra is the Blue Merle in this photo with her Dam who won Best opposite sex at the 2001 National Specialty show in The puppy Sweepstakes only losing out to the Westminister Kennel Club herding Group 1 winner, multi BIS Grand Champion Kingsbury Harry Potter. Tierra's potential mate would have been Kennebec-Ricochet Black Bart was a son of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi who won The Group at Crufts a few years back, and is history making in the UK for being the Fastest UK Champion in the history of the Breed in the UK His name is Kennebec Jolly Roger.
To keep it Hamster related that photo was taken when Michael and I took a trip to the Pennsylvania/ New York border to trade Pedigreed Hamsters with two other Hobby breeders and the kids in the photo were the grand children of one of the Breeders.

I'm a terrier girl at heart, but I do love Aussies - such striking looking dogs.

I will keep an eye out and give one a stroke on your behalf!
I would absolutely love to do Barn Hunt with my boy, but it doesn't seem to have made it's made over to the UK yet We do a lot of scent tracking and obedience exercises, he loves to use his nose & brain, and would be in his element with Barn Hunt. We do our own version though, with scented training dummies and rabbit-skin dumbbells on our rural walks.
