sorta a sad thought
I've been trying my best to provide the best home for my two dwarf robos recently but have been thinking a lot about my little mouse Smudge. He passed away years ago now but I still think of him quite often. He was the first small pet I ever had and its because he was such a good little boy that i wanted to keep taking care of small pets.
But anyways I was wondering- what were all of your first small pets- or first pets in general?

I'm sorry for your loss. I think about all my past pets often. Even the ones I had as a child. I can't remember much of them but I do think about them
My first pet was a syrian hamster. I love hamsters and I think I'll have them for the rest of my life. I've always had cats as well. Animals in general are incredible and love them all

Re: sorta a sad thought
One of my first pets was a lovely little silver agouti guinea pig with a patch of pure white fur on her flank. She used to cuddle up to my neck, hiding under my long hair ... awwww.
I also had a lovely black eyed cream male hamster called Horace who was very confident and friendly.
I have always had pets and still think fondly about them all.

aww, having guinea pig all cuddled up sounds so adorable.
I remember my little mouses favorite hiding/ cuddle spot was inside my sleeve. he used to hide by my elbow while i watched TV.

Re: sorta a sad thought
My very first pet that I ever had (excluding my sweet bettas that I had) was a Cairn Terrier dog named Scottie. Currently, he is 11 years old, and still very healthy!
My very first small furry animal/s were two male mice. One was named Wheat, and the other was named Speedy. Unfortunately, at that time, I was very young and didn't know that you couldn't put male mice together. Wheat being the less dominant one eventually died.
As I look back on those memories, I have both very fond and very sad memories.

when you get your mouse I would love to see some pics!
I've owned two little mice at different times, though one was a feeder mouse that i just didn't want to see be sold for food..
