The minimum hutch size for a rabbit is 6' x 2' x 2' plus a 8' x 4' run. Check out this website as this is really helping me decide what sort of house I want for my rabbits. Make sure you look at all the options available to figure out what is best for you. xx Rabbit Hutch/cage Size Guide - Minimum Requirements

I used to have Guineas... I had a trio of females and they were in this cage. It was small for them (they got exercise time in a large pen each day) but I was going to expand it with another unit, which you can attach either in a "L" shape or make it twice the length... A couple notes about this cage though... You need to remove the food / play area divider and also even if you buy the one with a top, this cage is not very sturdy to prevent predators from getting them, so if you have a dog or cat, this cage must be kept in a room they can't get to. One of the big pluses was that it does not require tools to assemble and it can easily be folded up and moved.

The cage was easy to setup and it was easy to clean. I used heavy moving pads (uhaul blankets) with 2 layers of fleece on top and it worked great. With litter trays under their hay area it was relatively easy to keep clean. That said, just know that GPs produce a TON of waste. I had to purchase a hand-held vacuum, which I vacuumed their cage and play area daily. The litter trays got emptied every 2-3 days, and the fleece got replaced once a week. All that said, they were fun, but a LOT of work. I ended up having to rehome mine (before I could expand their cage) due to developing an allergy to the hay they ate. I miss them, but they went to a good home with a friend of mine.

I have a pair of young males in the same cage. It's on the small side, so
I'll have to upgrade soon, but I do like it.

I can't add much else but good luck! xx

Guinea pigs need to be in a pair or a small group. They are very social and thrive on guinea pig interaction. Being alone causes them stress and can even cause depression in them. Guinea pigs need at least 8 square feet each. They can't have wire bottom cages because it will cause them to have bumble foot. I have had 17 guinea pigs.

I've decided on a C&C cage That way I can make a guinea pig mansion quite cheaply :P

I'm going to be using fleece, and I'll put puppy pads or something under it.

I'm going to get two piggies

Good choices. I'd advise small cat litter pans to go under their hay areas... Makes it a lot easier to clean up their cage as they sit and eat hay and poo quite a bit. They really appreciate snuggle sacks and tunnels too, so try to get them plenty of things to play in.

Two females, most likely - just because they're easier to name.
