Default Chicken Videos *VIDEO HEAVY*

I got some (meh) videos of my chickens, sorry for the shakiness and farm equipment sounds!*

*All my chickens are either used for eggs or for pets. When they stop laying eggs, they become just pets. They never are killed for meat or anything else.

I LOVE THE VIDEOS!!!! So much better than stills. Colby, you have made me love chickens with all your flock. I adore the chicks and watching all of these feathery pets running around is wonderful. Was that one chick out of the pen? It looked a little frantic to get back . Why was the big Rooster chasing the other chicken around?

Aww thanks DrK. I love them too. They're so funny and curious.

I actually have the pen propped up so the chicks can get in and out as they please. They never go far; Mama always calls them in for food, at night, or when there's danger, and they always come in with her. They love the grass! He was just confused on how to get in. He found his way! He's going to be the new top rooster soon(we're keeping him to be a flock rooster).

That rooster is Bobcat(he's the dad of the four dark black/brown chicks in one of the vids), and he er...likes that hen lol.

There's also a "pecking order" and chickens chase others to declare dominance. It's rare that they hurt each other, just chasing. Although, I don't think that's what was going on here. I think Bobcat likes that hen! Haha.
