About 30 maybe? My flock is always changing, with new chicks, and deaths, and the buying of new animals, and the selling of babies...it changes a lot and it's hard to keep up with.
This summer(like, June) when I have bunches of chicks and hopefully some new chickens(I'm going to a chicken breeder place in late May) I will make a proper chicken thread, lol.
I sadly lost one of my best roosters, who was utterly gorgeous, due to a sickness, and that hurt my flock
I hope to get another soon. I still have 2 big, normal roosters left.
Okay so I have:
4 banies(had six but lost two to a hawk) which are miniature chickens, Snowball, Coleball, Eightball, and Cannonball
Quite a few egg laying hens and 2 roosters of an egg laying breed, Comb and Bobcat, but they don't lay eggs, obviously! This is where these chicks will go, into my egg laying flock
6 mother hens, who's job is to raise the chicks if the egg-layers(I don't want them to stop laying eggs, which they would do if I let them raise chicks)
1 pair of Silkies, and 12 in the nest!
So there's the run-down!
