This is Basil trying to steal a towel, he is a hoarder and if he likes something he grabs it and brings it to his cage, if you try to take it he will hiss at you! The coloring on his side is how his breeder identified him, I washed it off the day after this pic was taken.

He is so cute! on a scale of say, 1 to 10, how hard is it owning a hedgehog? (I mean) Temperwise, supplying proper care to, food etc. ? I'd love to have one someday!

Hmmm, maybe a 6, 10 being the hardest. The hardest parts are taming and finding things for them. Not very much in pet stores is labeled"Hedgehog"! For example, Basil eats cat and dog food, has a chinchilla wheel, a rabbit hut, lives in a guinea pig cage, has a rat litter box... But once you find it, care is easy. Spot clean every now and then and a full cleaning every few months. Feel free to ask me any questions! If you would like I can tell you where Basil came from, she's located in KY but she ships hedgies all the time. Anyway, this is Basil on the way home. He may have, erm, gain a little weight since then....

I absolutely adore APH's, or any hedgehog for that matter! I'm getting a pedigree hoglet this summer, been planning for it for about a year now! I would love to have one now, but because they are so demanding I'm waiting until college is over.
I LOVE him. He is sooo hansome, and that after-bath pic is the cutest grumpy face I've ever seen haha. Can't wait to get my own! xxx
