So here it is, Heike has been completely shaved down He has been having some ongoing issues with dry skin where his fur was matted from not being groomed by previous owners so we cut it all of again and used a anti-alergenic shampoo this time on him and some baby powder under his arms cause he tend to get moist and sore there. His skin does not tolerate much poor thing after not getting enough air the first 6 months of his life. But he is starting to get better tho and we will keep treating him with keeping good airflow and keeping him clean and such

this means that I had to swallow my disgust for dog clothing and I had to buy him a varm winter coat and a autum/spring coat... I am not pleased! -__-
I really do loathe dog clotes, and I had to really strain my google skills to find something in a large size that was NOT pink AND comfy and usefull.. omg I sat hours but finally I found , one from the Hurtta Pro series, plain black and some knitted old man patterned gray sweatter

will add photos of those when they get here, they should arrive any day now

I'm the same i loathe dog clothes. It really annoys me. Grrr. But for reasons like yours then they are great. My friends dog is allegric to grass so he has a little t-shirt for walkies.

hehe thank you! x) I bought the bow for 99cents on Ebay. Bought him a little tie also, just waiting for it to arrive. I have no issues with bows and ties on dogs, or even bandanas as a cool looking scarf, but pink dresses and costumes that are for no other bennefit than the owners amusement, that I just cant support :/

Like your friend I will only use his clothes when needed, clothing can be an asset to dogs if used right, but not all dogs need clothing , I would never put a winter coat on my moms terrier, but that is because he has a thick underfur which protects and now when old only need something to keep him dry, but for a dog like Heike who dont have a undercoat it is preferable to keep the chest and back worm to keep the extremeties from freezing

But I would never buy heike a bumblebee costume or a pink dress, lol I admit the costume one might have looked cute but poor dogs who have to ware it, I mean some of the pics of dogs and cats in costumes just looks awfull, you clearly can see that the animal dont like it xC

I love your dog. I just cannot understand people who get an animal and then don't treat it right. Good on you for saving him. My Yoda was abandoned on the street. I found him in a neighborhood rescue. He's only 8 pounds. Who throws an 8 pound dog on the street? Yoda's a short haired Chihuahua. He needs clothes to keep him warm in the cold months. All summer he goes naked Before Yoda I had big dogs, Shepards-Labs-Collies. It never occurred to me to put any clothes on them. But my little shivery guy was another story. I figure, if you gotta, you gotta. Might as well have fun with it. My boy's a fashion statement

I am glad you took him home, It is obvious that he has a really caring owner now

And may I say he is absolutley adorable! I always wanted a chihuahua but they costs up to 20K NOK here, so about 3-4K USD :O and I will not pay that much for a dog that before it became popular they costs just the same as a standard family dog (lab, golden etc) :P I payed 2,5K for Heike, that is about 420 dollars, the diference is just huge

Lol, as he is such a little dog I am sure he needs his little jackets and shirts They look swell btw! Love that camo onepiece! I have a hard time finding clothing for Heike, as he is 65 cm in back length I have to have big sizes, and because of being a poodle mix he really have a deep chest so we need bigger than normal-chested dogs there to :P LOL It is a HORROR finding anything in a nice color, good shape AND big enough! xD

Heike got his sweater today, I am kinda pleased with it, it suits him I think and it is comfy for him, not tight or anything ^_^ It looks abit diferent from the site I ordered from, but it will do I suppose xD

aww he looks so snug! our dog has a red flece, because she used to have long hair that would soak up the water and mud when it was cold :L but we don't need it now shes short :3

hehe he does dosent he? I think he likes it, will deffo use it on his midnight walk as it has begun to drop below 5 degrees here at night, brrrr... soon it will be freezing! I am even thinking of finding my winter coat from the back of the closet xD lol!
