Default Rabbit help!

I don't know why or what's happened, but my rabbit has lost a shed load of weight in just three days. I had her out for a cuddle on Sunday, she was round and solid, possibly too much for a Netherland dwarf. She doesn't always come to me wanting cuddles, but she did tonight, and when I picked her up I was completely shocked at how thin she was! I can get my whole hand around her waist (and I've got really small hands), her backbone is really easy to feel, and she's so light. She's eating fine, and looks well, but she drinks a lot, she can empty a bunny bottle in two days or less. I don't know what on earth has happened to her. How has she gone so thin so quick? Anyone else had this?

How is her poo? Is there more than normal or abnormal color? I'd say see a vet asap. Maybe she has a bacteria in her stomach/intestines that is making her sick.

I would get her to the vets as soon as you can. As you are probably aware rabbits have such complex digestive systems and not wanting to scare you things can go very wrong in rabbits very quick! Hoping she is ok, let us know how she gets on.

I agree about seeing your vet with her Wobbles just to be sure she`s okay and doesn`t have anything underlying going on. Her teeth should be checked firstly as they can cause weight loss. Not just the fromt teeth but the back ones, which can spur.

If she`s eating well that`s a good sign, but sudden weight loss isn`t. I love wee nethies, they are such cute little bunnies. Really hope she`s okay. x
