Re: URGENT - I think my rat is dying
Amethyest...I've been on private messaging with her for a bit. She said Moon, the rat, jumped up and began licking below than laid back again. Could the rat be pregnant?

Re: URGENT - I think my rat is dying
I cant really be certain witout a video but that sounds like grooming. My rats sit in very awkward positions and just spring into cleaning.
WHat is her cage mate like, what bedding is she on and how long have you had her?
And are her sides sucking in lots when she breathes? x

Re: URGENT - I think my rat is dying
Her cage mate is her sister and she's a lot more lively, she's silent and runs around a lot. They are on a paper based pellet bedding. Yes her sides are .

Re: URGENT - I think my rat is dying
well it could be some stress, shes very young and if you just got her it could be stress. rats are prone to respiraory issues lots and can make a clucking sort of sound with infections.
If she isnt drooling or gasping out then it wont be an obstruction.
How long have you had her and how much have you been handling?

Re: URGENT - I think my rat is dying
I've had her for two days and I haven't touched her because she didn't look well.
