Two new Goddesses
Late last year I adopted a group of five female fancy mice from a local rescue: Venus, Minerva, Aurora, Diana and Pax. Unfortunately Pax wasn't a strong girl and died a couple of months ago. Since then the rest of the group have not quite settled again. Diana seemed to be the source of the trouble as she is a little inappropriate and rude to other mice given her position in life (she acts like she's in charge but she's not).
I met a pair of rescue mice who were in transit to another rescue as they had failed to be rehomed locally despite looking for months. Due to unforeseen circumstances the handover fell through and it seemed that this pair may be the answer to my mousey problem so they came home with me and are being introduced to my group to try and dilute the Diana Effect! Meet Nona (right) and Vesta (left):

All has been going well with the intro, although they had to move up from the small carrier a bit quickly as Inappropriate Mouse was headbutting the transparent lid and we didn't want her to become Concussed Mouse! The only squeaks have been Diana being overfamiliar with Nona, but they have spent most of the day in a big old mouse pile which is a lovely sight after a rotten week.

They've now moved up to the playbox for overnight and will go back into their (empty) cage tomorrow. Here are all my girlies:

Concussed Mouse...LOL...ROFL. Oh that's so funny. I'm glad the new mousies have seemed to bring a little order back to your group. They are such pretty colors. They seem to be nice and big. The mousies at my pet store are so little, but awfully cute.

Re: Two new Goddesses
Thank you everyone. I'm so pleased it's gone so well. I'm glad I had my mousey friend here this morning who helped get the intros started. Funny how things happen. A year ago I was scared of rodents with tails and now I have seven fancy mice and two acacia rats, and spent friday night being horribly tempted by a pair of rescue fancy rats that I was snuggling. I have to keep telling myself that I do not have room for fancy rats, no matter how needy and cute and tame they are!

There's a big range of sizes in my group from Diana at 25g to Venus at 50g! The new goddesses are somewhere in between those two (though I'll have to keep an eye on Vesta as she is a greedy little lady!). Young Pax was even smaller but we think she may have had a heart problem and wasn't growing because of that (I've treated heart failure in a 160g Syrian, and that caused the vet to scratch their head over doses so medicating a 20g mouse was out of the question unfortunately).
They are interesting colours which was part of the reason they ended up with me! Venus is a tricolour which is quite rare and people are importing them from Europe to breed at the moment. Aurora is a fuzzy mouse, so mostly furless, and also not a common type of mouse. Rescue mice from the rescue I got them from are rehomed under a 'no breeding' contract (obviously as their background isn't known, and they deserve to be spoiled pets not having babies). They have found it awkward with interesting or rare colours though as people may get carried away by their prettiness and wish to breed them. I took them as I had adopted from the rescue before and am a committee member so they can trust me to stick to the 'no breeding' policy. Anyway, they all have their own little ways whether they are a 'boring' brown cow mouse or an 'interesting' tri and I love them all for their uniqueness .... even Diana!

They are all looking lovely, the pic of the big mouse-pile is beautiful. Great that you have some new additions after your sad losses just recently

Re: Two new Goddesses
Awwwwh they are gorgeous! How is the intro going?
Mousey weights vary so much. My smallest is 27g and my biggest is 47g.
I love the two new girls markings!
I also wanted to say I'm insanely jealous that you have a black tan mouse haha I know they're quite common but they're my absolute favourite colour <3
