Exclamation URGENT advice needed for friend

So my friend has just had to rush her bearded dragon to the vets as was very poorly before my friend got her she was not being given calcium powder so has a problem with her bones and something to do with eggs that she couldn't pass and I think there solid. Don't know if that makes sense as I know little about bearded dragons. She has been rushed in for an operation as it was a life or death situation so had to decide then and she agreed to it. Only problem is the operation is £150 and she doesn't have the money at the moment. I have told her to contact the RSPCA to see if they will do anything but not sure if they will. Does anyone know of anyone she can get into contact with to help her with the costs?

The vets may be able to arrange a payment plan if she asks. Like paying £30 a month for five months or something.

I suggest what kyrilliondaemon said also, just tell your friend to ask

Definitely get your friend to ask the vet about a payment plan.
Some will be ok with this and ones who aren't will sometimes keep the animal until the bill is paid, so make sure your friend asks asap just in case the vets wont let her do a payment plan and she needs to find the money another way.

Also, if she's on benefits the PDSA might help.

Where I live for some reason it's difficult to get pdsa. My mums on benefits yet still had to find almost £300 for our cat to get surgery. Thankfully a cat charity donated most of the money and we just got them a thank you card and kept them updated with our cats progress

I've heard of different types of lizards who get impacted eggs and need to have them removed. I saw it done on Animal Planet Emergency Vets program. And calcium is definitely necessary for them it's supposed to be sprinkled on their food daily. The idea about a payment plan should be okay, but if not try a Dragon rescue site on the internet- Google it and see what is available. Also, if the vet won't do it ask the vet if s/he can recommend someone else who can help.

It was for a friend not me her family all chipped in to help her pay for the operation in the end so she has the £150 but they said her bearded dragon lost a lot of blood so may need to be kept at the vets which costs £40 per night so she may still have to ask about a payment plan to cover that cost if she is kept in. She isn't on benefits so pdsa wouldn't have helped her out i don't think but thanks for all the suggestions
