Please welcome my two little boys

Marko and Polo the gerbils!

Its been a long hard time recently, but with things looking on the up now me and mr roebuck decided its time to get the gerbils we have been discussing for months.

Marko and Polo came from the big green shop, they where still out the back, having come in on tuesday. along with 4 other boys. 3 agouti, 2 black and 1 grey. they where all well handled, happy for me to put my hands in and give them cuddles, these two sat nicely for strokes and kisses, unlike the other black brother who tried to make a runner!

Very jealous! I adore gerbils and you won`t be dissapointed. I kept gerbils for years and miss their daft antics and playtimes. Your boys are going to be spoiled.

I have had 6 gerbils previously, all girls, a trio, a pair and a single. I love gerbils, they are really fun, inquisitive creatures! and my boys are so tame!

they are going to be very very spoiled XD they have a load of new toys on the way *bang goes all my overtime!* and I have just japlac painted up my old karlie wheel for them (if they shred it, im not using it! they will have silent spinners after). They had their first go in the sand bath and loved it!

I will get some more photos later of my lil double act!

hehe thank you souffle! they both have very shiny fur but its so noticeable on polo the black one he looks satin fur like lucy hehe!

I have been trying ideas for their tank, this is the rough version, as I have the right toys on the way!!



they now have my old karlie wheel with a new paint job (japlac paint) as it wasnt being used, if they shred it, i dont mind! they will have the silent spinners later if they do destroy it! the extra japlac is because I know how much they wee on wheels! polo showing marko how to use it!






they have a digging box. this is so they still get the deep pedding, plus about 3-4 inches everywhere else, lots of goodies are buried in there, its a big hit! they both keep bobbing in and out!


they have their sand bath in a smaller jar, just so it didnt jog the wheel ^^ they love their sand bath!

they have a cork tunnel, a hay tunnel, a wooden climbing frame, a hanging wooden log house/hammock thing I will stuff with hay for them. I dont know where they are going yet but I will find a way! XD

Our new place is looking more and more likely to be soon, so when we do move, I can forsee a detolf! maybe half for digging and half for toys! they love their toys just as much as digging!!
