For some reason, just seeing a picture of shed snake skin makes my skin crawl. Don't get me wrong. I love snakes. I just don't like their shed skins for some odd reason.

My cousins have an albino corn snake they've dubbed Albie and he's been through quite a bit. If snakes had multiple lives like cats are said to have, he'd have at least two or three gone by now.

One time he got out of his tank and found his way into the groove of a desk chair wheel and was scrunched up and kinked really bad by the time they got him out. He was also very lifeless, so naturally they thought he had met his maker. They wrapped him in a towel until they could find time to decide what to do with his "body". By the time they went to collect him he was alive and well, although a little dent was on his body where he was scrunched against the wheel, but he was fine otherwise. He is now dubbed the "Jesus Snake".

When Den lived with her previous owner, she got out of her viv and was on the loose for 5 months!

About a month after we took her in, I was holding her in my arms on the sofa. She decided to go behind my back and have a little roam. It wasn't until I stood up that I noticed she had gone in the sofa! I tried and tried to pull her out without hurting her but she just kept pulling against me and went further in. We had to undo the fabric underneath the seat in the end to get her out. I got such a telling off from my Dad It was quite funny though cos when we got her out she had a little ball of fluff on her head that looked like an afro
