Hmm, I think they make interesting pets (maybe i'm biased ). They aren't particularly cuddly though Although, saying that, I was sat on the sofa with her for half and hour earlier with her curled up in my arms

She's beautiful! My friend has a Iguana who has SUCH a personality, he's lovely. I personally couldn't keep a snake just because I couldn't bring myself to feed them! I mean, I completely understand it's their natural food, circle of life and everything, but frozen mice in my freezer would break my heart. I struggle with giving the hammies mealworms! So kudos to you for being more sensible than me.

My brother was a bit 'ergh' about the mice in the freezer but they are wrapped in grey bags (so you can't see them) and are in a little drawer away from the rest of the food.

I think it would be hypocritical of me to say it is wrong feeding her mice as I eat meat and I have never had a problem with it We would never ever feed live mice though. My dad wouldn't have adopted her if we had to do that. I can fully understand why people wouldn't want a snake though as they aren't for everyone

She is a beautiful snake i used to know a guy that had 2 beardys a leopard gecko and two snakes one had phyton type markings and the other i think was either a milk snake or coral snake (which ever is safest) and for feeding he had to heat it up in the microwave and get the tongs and make it move about other wise she wasn't one bit interested in it.

I always thought that you shouldn't really heat the food in the microwave. It is a lot safer letting them thaw out naturally and running them under hot water to make them warm up a bit..

'Cuddles' with Den this afternoon

She then proceeded to go up my right sleeve, move around my back and poke her head out the left one

Well Den is preparing for her shed. I checked on her yesterday and her eyes have gone cloudy. She should stay like this for a few days before they go back to normal. I won't hold her now until she has completed her shed as it can stress her out and may back the process a lot more difficult for her.

Here's some pics

I will posts pics of her shed if anyone is interested

Thank you

I thought she was getting ready last week. Her skin/scales seemed very flaky and not as smooth as usual. Hopefully it will be a nice clean shed like last time as it means she is happy and healthy
