Re: *Harley, Gannit & Finley's Thread*
Huh. I know with chickens, if you don't remove the eggs they get broody, stop eating and spend all their time looking after the eggs, even if they don't hatch. I assumed it was the same with other birds

It is the opposite with out tiels (especially the aviary tiels). They seem to keeping laying them over and over until they have a batch they can sit on

Re: *Harley, Gannit & Finley's Thread*
Here's a couple of videos of Finley trying to woo Gannit
In this video Gan is on the floor eating and Fin is on his shelf whistling to her. He does this a lot
And in this one he is walking up and down the perch doing his 'wings'. He opens them up a little to look more impressive I think. Gan is clearly having none of it
I'm trying to teach him to wolf whistle so you can hear my pathetic attempts a few times. I try and pronounce each sound so he understands. He does stop whistling and look/listen to me so I think he's learning!

Re: *Harley, Gannit & Finley's Thread*
If you want him to wolf whistle every time you go into the room you could bring it up on YouTube and play it to him
It took Vinyl no time to learn to whistle and he umm learnt the hilter whistle

Re: *Harley, Gannit & Finley's Thread*
I've been sitting in the room with him wolf whistling over and over He is starting to pick it up, he just needs to define the sound.
I taught our last male cockatiel, George, to wolf whistle. It was so cute. He was slightly younger than Finley though so it was easier for him to pick up

Oh your cockatiel are so beautiful. I have always had a love for these little guys. I had many friends that owned them as I was growing up, and they were ridiculously friendly. Had to call my boyfriend to let him see these little cuties. He was just as mesmerized by them as I was.
