Default Question for Guinea Pig owners.

Can GP's make twigs? As in the small sticks, that drop off trees. I have found 2 twigs in the cage. One I found was a few weeks ago and the other was today.

I dont know where they are coming from!

Umm.. make them? ..No. Is the cage outside? :P Or if they've been outside then maybe it got stuck to them.

Sadly, guinea pigs aren't mystical, magical creatures who can manifest things out of thin air. Maybe, if the cage is outside, they managed to nab some twigs that fell near it. Or maybe the twig fairy is visiting them and bearing gifts.

Thanks. I guess I inherited my dad's dry sense of humor.

It could be possible that the hay had a stray twig or two in it. Hay is essentially grass. Its usually sorted through to make sure that any debris are taken out, but occasionally things do sneak by.

Ahh might of been in the hay then. Would twigs be safe to chew on, or remove them instantly?

Just remove them if you don't know what they are :P If they're in the hay it should be fine though
