Long time no post hamsters and some ratty updates...

So, with work, a sad but long expected death in the family and the general busyness of life I have not been around for a while.

In my absence I had the pleasure to look after a holidaying hamster lovers two old lady syrians Lola-Robin and Tallulah. In what I can only describe as a horrific experiance Lola passed away and although this was something I had discussed through with the owner it was still a shock to both me and the owner. Tallulah however had a happy 2-3 months with me and she was the feistiest little lady I have ever met...

Now roughly around the time I was posting less I had just acquired and gone through hell with three new rattys joining my numbers to make 6. Two, Helo and Crashdown came from a breeder from a rescue group she had fostered and were very jumpy. Whilst still not as tame as my other boys they have grown to accept us and have filled out into healthy chunky lads.

Crash lost half of his tail in an attack by a wild rat before he came to me and this has made him very nervy in some situations and not the easiest to photograph...



Boomer was a P@H rescue and came to me as a very underweight, bullied, cut up skinny little boy with mites. He was then bullied a little by my alpha who had to be castrated and now the pair are in love they can't bare to be apart and Boomer is slowly filling out although he is still the smallest.

Adama settled well after his op and is now far more relaxed with the other boys.


Starbuck remains a grumpy old chap who hates everyone after the horrible start he had in life I cannot blame him....


Caprica still lives for his one love... food...


even stealing easter eggs before the day!!!



Odin the worlds fattest gerbil keeps on doing what he does best, killing cardboard although he hates the camara and comes out as a blur so no photos


When it comes to my hamsters they are happy healthy and plodding along. Although both refused to pose tonight... they will be snapped tomorrow!!! Robin the chinese princess keeps herself to herself in the most amazing tunnels and Greyjoy lives for the rustle of a bag full of yogurt covered hazelnuts, running whenever he hears them.

She was a little madam and an escape artist to boot but it felt a little empty once she had gone and Caprica is such a camara lover he is just so photogenic!

:3 such lovely pictures. I'd love to have pet rats especially aftermy step mum had 3 that she had adopted from some woman who had taken them in because of poor living conditions. They were all so wonderful but sadly she lost them =/ But i wont be getting them anytime soon, no time since i currently have 4 little hammy's and because i still live at home and my mum hates them xD
