Samber, my chinchilla, just gave birth! I don't know what color, what sex, or how much it weighs, all I know is that there is one! I feel bad, I'm out of town and my poor pet sitter is home with her. Hopefully she has the placenta soon so I can stop panicking.

Just thought I'd update!!

There are two of them! I got a call from my lovely pet sitter at 11:53 (my time) and the placena has been delivered. Hopefully they don't cause mama too much anguish!

What age can you take pictures of babies, is it when their eyes are open like hamsters?

This is Baby#1 who is a male ebony (not sure what kind of ebony yet) and is a good 61 grams. He has a white tail.

Baby #2 is also a male ebony, but a different kind. (I just don't know what! It's normally difficult to tell) He weighed in at 52 grams. He has a black tail.

They are both VERY feisty!
