Re: Please stay safe
So, I finally got my vaccine. As I thought, I got missed out and so I sent a very long letter with lots of evidence and lo and behold I got put into priority group 6, but then I got told they had done all the housebound patients and would have to wait till round 2 vaccines are being done., and they didn't have a clue when that would be, it could be a long wait. Anyway this last week I got an unexpected knock on the door and there were 2 people all masked up waiting with a 'lovely' vaccine for me. I thought I got away with any side effects, until 2am and then it all started. temp going up and down, feeling sick, aching all over etc. everytime I thought I was over it it would start again. 2 days this lasted, now I am over all that and just left very weak/shaky and tired but hope to pick up soon. So not looking forward to round 2, but still feel like I made the right decision if it saves my life in the long run.

Re: Please stay safe
Dear Luna I have underlying health conditions and had my first dose of the az vaccine on 25th March. I had quite bad side effects and now am left feeling “washed out” and too much activity knocks me for six. I wouldn’t take it back and am looking forward to me second dose as it bring me back towards normality. I hope you start to feel stronger soon - you did the right thing no matter how difficult it is now x

Re: Please stay safe
Well done you two x So sorry about the side effects - some people do get them badly. But it usually passes after a few days. Charlie Dunn - I do hope they wear off soon. Lethargy is not nice.
I am frustrated at not having it yet - everyone I know has had it! I've been told I have to have it at a special clinic (due to previous allergic reaction to a different vaccine) in a two hour monitored appointment. But I had just missed one clinic for allergy risk patients and they have no idea when the next one will be!

Thanks Charlie. I thought I was picking up, but so tired and groggy today.

Hopefully it will be soon, they want people to have the vaccines so I hope it will be quicker than you think. My dr's made out I could be waiting months, in reality I think it was a couple of weeks.

Re: Please stay safe
Dear Luna I hope that today is a better day - one day at a time and I hope each day you feel a bit better than the day before.
Serendipity I hope that you get your vaccine soon. I’m keeping everything crossed and hope you don’t have to wait as long as you fear x

Re: Please stay safe
Hope you feel better soon Luna x. Thank you both. I had a call from the NHS today (after umpteen letters and texts) asking me why I hadn't had it! So I said because I've been told not to and to wait for a special clinic (one department didn't seem to speak to the other!).
