tissue box being safe??

I gave a tissue box to my syrian and she chewed it like crazy. I hopes she would use it as a hideout, but she decided not to. I took it out of her cage out of fear it would harm her. Am I just paranoid or should I keep it out of her tank?

It should be fine, some hams just love to chew card & it sounds as though yours may be one of them! You could try putting plain card in things like toilet roll or kitchen roll tubes or just plain cardboard boxes for her.

All my hamsters love cardboard. I save the toilet tissue and paper towel rolls because they like running through them and chewing on them. It won't hurt your hammy at all.
