Easter grass
I'm making an Easter cadge and was wondering if Easter grass was safe?

Re: Easter grass
No, I wouldn't use it as the dye in Easter grass may be harmful for your hamster.

Re: Easter grass
It can be fine to use as long as there is no harmful dyes, but most tends to be just colored paper which in general is harmless. As a sole source of bedding, I wouldn't recommend it, but as a bit of extra decoration I'd say it's okay

Re: Easter grass
Taped on the outside of a cage would be fine if out of reach I wouldn't use it inside though,as even supposedly nontoxic dyes can be dangerous for hamsters if they're still nontoxic to humans.

Re: Easter grass
Why don't you just shred paper yourself and then use a DIY hamster safe dye ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8q5B_grqI0), so you can control what goes into it?
