Help! My hamster keeps me awake!

If your hamster/s sometimes wake you up due to being too noisy and you're unable to get back to sleep because of it, listening to ASMR videos on YouTube is a great help.

It is hard to explain ASMR but it is very much like listening to somebody reading a story that relaxes you to the point where you fall asleep fairly quickly. I cannot get through any ASMR video without nodding off within the first 10 minutes or so!

I'm afraid Skittle was evicted from my daughter's bedroom rather sharpish and has lived downstairs ever since!

That wasn't the plan. He was bought by my daughter, for her, with the idea he lived in his cage in her room.

It lasted two nights.

His cages (yes, he now has 2, joined by a tunnel) are in the living room and have been since the third night he moved in to our house! And that was almost 2 years ago now.

But we love him, he's so cute!

Glowy stayed in my bedroom for two weeks when we first got him to keep him quarantined from our other ham, honestly I think I slept for four hours in the whole time lol he was so blimmin noisy!

I have four. Two syrians and two roborovskis. They all have lovely karlie wooden wheels and I find the noise (such as it is) rather sweet and comforting!

i have one hamster and he lives in my room and he used to make a lot of noise at night with his wheel but i tweeted it to make it completely quiet and now i sleep fine and he runs all night (its a comfort wheel by the way)

I don't have my hams in my room unless they are ill and need extra attention, it wasn't the wheels that kept me awake it was being startled by them drinking from their bottles! I dunno if it's just my hams, probably not as they all seem to do it but the little ball bearing clinks in the drinking tube and its really loud. I'm a light sleeper though so every little noise seems loud to me!

All 28 of mine are in the livingroom But last night I went to go read on the couch and awoke the next morning when Hubby came in and awoke me. I guess Wodent Wheels really are silent

I can relate to the drinking bottles! Loudest thing my hamsters do all night ....!
