The Hammet - auditions

Following on from Plumcore's thread where we got rather silly, auditions are being held for The Hammet. Some hamsters have already been given parts and some hamsters have been offered parts. Volunteers for parts for the Hammet and its sequel, the Hamster of the Rings, are required.

So far we have:

Smaug - played by Charlie (sitting on his hoard)

Gandalf - played by Spike

Aragorn - played by Neptune if he is up for it

Hammets (Hobbits):

Bilbo - Meat (on loan from the Grey Havens)

Merry - played by Harry
Pippin -
Frodo - played by Flint
Sam -

Extras - Hammets for crowd scenes on Bilbo's birthday: volunteers required

Elves:

Elrond - played by Zephyr (fast, sleek and rather beautiful)

Legolas - played by Lance (fast and sleek and rather beautiful) if he is up for it

Galadriel - played by Princess CC

Arwen - played by Minna

Thranduil (King of the Grey Elves of Sindar) - volunteer required please

Crowd scene elves: volunteers required

Dwarfs:

Thorin
Fili - (known for keen eyesight) volunteer required
Kili - (known for keen eyesight) volunteer required, brother of Fili
Balin
Dwalin
Oin - Mickle (in charge of lighting campfires)
Gloin - volunteer required (in charge of lighting campfires with Oin/Mickle
Ori
Nori
Dori
Bifur
Bofur
Bombur (large hamster required)

Other characters:

Tom Bombadil
Beorn - possible second part for Neptune or other volunteer

Orcs, Gollum and other baddies are being supplied by CGI technology, no hamsters need dress up as orcs.

I think Spike would like to volunteer as Gandalf the Grey. He's got the grey part down plus he has the whole hammy life coach thing going for him. He also likes exploring, running all over the place, hates being told he can't do something or go somewhere and has a habit of turning up in places when you least expect it.

Personally I think ole Tuna Chops aka Neptune would be good for Beorn. He pretty much looks like a big bear already although he may have to practice looking fierce!!

I'm afraid that I don't know the stories very well, but I'm sure Minna fits the criteria for an elf and as long as Bec doesn't mind... can I propose Neptune as Aragorn?! When I think of a large hamster it can only be him!!

Cc is very honoured to be Galadriel, she is shining her hair up and practising her mysterious looks. Gonna have to get her a glass mirror tho since she would spill the realistic one all over herself

Oh since Soufflé posted those photos of Lance earlier and reminded me how ridiculously pretty he is we need to have Lance as an elf! Maybe Elrond?

I'm thinking he would be good as Thranduil actually

Also Spike has said as long as I'm willing to provide a steady supply of porridge he'd put up with fur extensions for the part of Gandalf

Oh perfect! Yeah Elrond isn't in the movie much, Lance deserves a bigger part :3

I was thinking that Harry could maybe be Mary as he is silly in his behavior but loyal what do think?

I'm not sure who Mary is? Got it - Merry? Yes he is loyal and silly Harry has passed the audition as Merry. Coco - apologies for not mentioning Frodo and Samwise by name but just leaving them under the title of Hammets! (ie Hobbits).

So we need a Frodo, Samwise and Pippin plus other Hammets as crowd.

Spike is an excellent Gandalf - passed the audition

I think Lance is a little younger than Zephyr no? So if Lance would like to Legolas and Zephyr become Elrond they have also passed the auditions.

Neptune can choose to be either Beorn or Aragorn

Minna is a very important elf - maybe Arwen?

Also what about the evil wizard Saruman? Bohdan says his coat is very light gray so he can be Saruman since someone has to play the bad guy.
