It's a shame Meat's not still with us, he'd be perfect for Bilbo. At his age, there was nothing he hadn't seen before and he was an intelligent little guy. Lady May, however (despite her regal sounding official name) is too shy for a starring role and only wants to be an extra.

I think Merry and Pippin were cousins but I offer the two cousins here as Sam And Merry. Mocho would be honoured to accompany Flynt as his loyal servant Sam and the more adventurous Jarvis would be good company for Harry as Pippin when the foursome break up into two pairs.
