Default Two new rats! Pic of all rats + hamsters

This morning I went to Pets at Home. There was a 16-week-old dumbo boy, Ronald, in the Adoption centre. I couldn't have him alone, so 13-week-old Roland came home too!

Ronald and Roland’s first day

All my furry family!

A few little squeaks, but they seem quite happy. Ronald was very inquisitive on free-range.

The younger girls keep standing and sniffing - I think they can smell buck!

Wow! Rats eh? I saw 2 when I went to Pets at Home, aren't they harder to look after than normal furry friends? Anyway your furry family is so cute

They need more attention, longer free-range etc. as they are so intelligent. Because they are more prone to chest problems and mammary tumours than hamsters are, there tend to be larger vet bills. A lot of us on the forums mix up our own rat food which contains fewer additives than Reggie Rat. This is expensive when we start and needs quite a bit of storage space, although it goes a long way.

Not saying that our hamsters don't need spoiling!
