When I was a little girl, I would make a fairy long list of items I'd want for my parents to refer to when shopping, or maybe write a letter to Santa Claus about said list. Now a days, I just want to see my family be happy and healthy. And maybe to help those less fortunate than I find a bit of happiness during the holiday season.

I'm with Redsky - I'd like a holiday for Christmas. Probably won't get one though! When I was single I went on holiday at that time every year - it was great! I'd have Christmas Day then get on a plane on boxing day (cheap flights) and come back on 3rd Jan (cheap flights) usually to Barcelona where I have some friends, but sometimes to France. My Partner has never flown and doesn't want to, so I don't think that will be happening this year! Other than that I would like magnetic lego to be invented and get a big magnet for Christmas!

A pomeranian and a long haired chihuahua, and I've got zero chance of getting either unless I move out. So a winning lottery ticket or a millionaire husband please Santa!!

Ditto, big win, me too!
I have a second seasonal wish for santa (wine still politely requested). I'd like to have started that project I've been planning for years. Hoping writing it here might offer some incentive.

You're right - that is what it is all about really - people. My other half is so charitable that he always leaves it too late to get me a present lol! Or maybe he really has given it to a homeless person on the way home. I find the whole present thing a bit humdrum but it is different when you have a child to get for (and expensive!). I hope our little boy starts thinking like you in a few years. This year he says he is going to ask Santa for £1,000!!!!!! I am wondering if he is testing us to see if we slip up and say Santa isn't real. I just said - Santa doesn't give money, only presents and no you can't have £1,000 but if you keep saving you might get there!
