Default I named them...

Okay, so I feel like I need to share this.

So I was watching a video of me when I was like, 4-5 years old.

I said:

"Hi I'm Maggie and I have two worms. They are my friends and they are called Dogwood and Sassafras."

Yep. 4 year old me names her pet worms Dogwood and Sassafras, with no help and those weren't names on a show or anything. I came up with those names myself, according to my grandfather. I was a weird small child. Lol.

haha lol !! most kids that age would have called their pet either
1. after someone they know
2. TV or book character( my sister named her rabbit Jim from Rosie and Jim )
3. the name of the pet (hammy, bunny,or in your case wormy)

That is very impressive !!!

Dogwood and Sassafras are both plants/trees, so I guess that's pretty cool to know as a 4 year old...

LOL. Even back then? How adorable that was. I have a new kitchen spider. I just spotted it today. If all goes well and it just stays in the spot between the sink and the stove, it can stay. I will name it Batter, since it is a kitchen spider.

Oh yeah! That probably has something to do with it, lol. At first I thought my parents/grandparents "helped" me, but they swear they remember me coming up with those on my own. I might have seen them in a book somewhere, since I was always reading about plants/animals.

I like that! Batter, that's a cute name. We had a spider named Tomato on the porch for a while, but eventually she moved away. We also had black widows in the water-thing (I don't know what it's called) but they got rained on.
