A few years ago, I had three 4 and 1/2 year old fancy goldfish, they were fine and id had them since they were babies. I always bought the tank weed that was in the PAH clear waterfall plant section. The last time I bought a different type of weed from one of the tanks with fish in, it killed my fish.

So sorry to hear your news

Well, no. It's next to the other tanks, so I'd think if something got into one it'd get into the others.

Fish seem to be more fragile than they were in my youth when we kept one in a bowl of cold water from the tap....
Thank you. You're right. When I was seven we had a betta in a 1/5 gallong bowl with a rock. He lived for 5 years, no problem.

Yeah, I hate the risks, but at least I knew the snails were disease free as I'd raised them.

Gosh, that's awful.

Maybe you're right. My 9 year old little brother and his friend are often in the house to see the animals..time to interview and interrogate them!
