Exclamation Bald Patch?

Hello, my hamster is a male Syrian whose about 6 months old. Recently ive noticed he has some fur missing (a bald patch) on the left side of his face behind his nose.Im really worried if this is a huge problem do I need to take him to the vets? will he be ok? what caused this? Please help!

It sounds like it could be bar-rub from chewing the bars of his cage. Are there any other places he's lost fur? does it look sore or infected?

Oh yes I think that's what it is (bar-rub) he does chew the bars a lot.and no he hasn't los any fur anywhere else and it dosent look sore or infected. so hes ok right?

If it is bar-rub then yes he's fine, just try to stop him chewing the bars so it doesn't get worse, or consider a cage with no bars.

Mine go through phases of bar chewing, and I just weave cardboard through the bars wherever they are chewing.
