I'm glad to hear you are starting to feel better - Arnica helps a lot with bruising. It's a great thing to keep in the medicine cabinet!
I broke a tooth a few years back and I thought it would take 2 seconds to extract as there wasn't much of it left. Like your roots, mine were wanting to stay where they were  I thought I would be leaving there with a broken jaw! Not an experience that I would want to repeat.
