PASSED, 3RD gRaDe! YAY!
Well, some of ya know, that I'm homeschooling my little girl. I withdrew her from public school, to homeschool her with A Beka Academy. We started homeschooling, early May. She was at 9 weeks into the 3rd quarter, at the public school, and she just FINISHED 3rd grade with A Beka! Her tests with A Beka Academy, which she had to do via skype and via phone calls, were graded at 100%, thus her overall grade point was 98.99%! I'm SO proud of her, for the efforts and hard work, she has done, homeschooling.
We will be starting 4th grade, as soon as I receive the 4th grade materials. I would like to keep her in year round school, with breaks over the holidays. A Beka allows up to 10 field trips, per grade, so that will be a ton of FUN! I was very "nervous" to teach, and to homeschool, but after a few weeks into it, I've realized, it is a lot of work, but, overall, it's a great fit for us. In addition, my daughter's health has improved, in such a short amount of time, although, she does have stomach pains, occasionally, still. . But, nothing like she was having before!
A Beka Academy was appx. 1 quarter ahead of the school she was in before, offering spelling, history, bible studies and cursive handwriting, which were not offered at the school she was in. We are just THRILLED, that we are onto 4th grade early!
I decided to use the hammie's room, as our school room, as well, and the hammies, not only are part of our family.. but our class mascots. . lol
Here's a photo of my homeschool room. It's "cozy" not anything huge, but is large enough space, to provide an comfortable place for my daughter and I. The table against the wall is my work area. The table with the lamp is my daughters desk/work station.

Ah that's brilliant, I read your other thread about why you're homeschooling and I think it sounds awesome for your daughter. Good on you getting her through so fast and congrats to her!

That's great news. Your school room is lovely and much nicer than a school class room

Well done to you both. That is great news.
Have you decided to keep her at home then or are you still looking to get her back into the private school? I think it is super that you are able to do this for her.
As a TA in a primary school I do often wonder about the effects of home schooling and their social skills. Do you meet up with other children who are home schooled? Does she have many friends and time meeting new children?
Please don't take offence at these questions, I think that it is great that you are taking these steps to help your daughter and really admire what you are doing, I'm just curious to how this side develops.
