Seems she has a far better social life than most school children although I don't understand the lack of recess and not being allowed to talk to one another. Guess different schools run differently.
You sound to be doing an amazing job and I think it is great you are sharing the task of teaching between different parents and teaching them in groups still. You should both be very proud of yourselves.

RedSky, thank you. Honestly, I didn't think I could do it. When you are put in a position, either sink or swim, you find a way, to "swim" or at least, "doggie paddle" LOL. I guess, I was really "not sure" and scared really, of being responsible of failing at administering her studies, and teaching her. She's been an above average student since she started school, and didn't want to mess her up. Tbh, I couldn't ask for an better student/daughter.
Recess, I was planning on asking why her school did not give recess breaks, but never got a chance.
I allow her breaks when she needs them, and somedays split up the lessons, half in the morning, and finish the rest after dinner. I know another mother that homeschools 3 children, different ages, with the same homeschool program, and has 2 children that are starting college this fall, that also were homeschooled, from K-5 - 12 grade, and what she said was it works well with her family, she teaches her kids, 3 weeks on, and 1 week off. With homeschool, you can really plan your weeks, days, times, and even take school with you, if you go on a trip. xLOL
