Weird Duck Dream...
Colby, I think your fowl posts are affecting my dreams (lol pun, but not intended).
Okay so in my dream I was getting dinner ready and my SO just came home from work. He opened the door and yelled for me to come over and to help him with something, and I was super confused. He had a box of ducklings, probably 10 of them or so. He said that he saw them and rescued them with his work buddy, and his work buddy wouldn't take them because his dog would kill them. So obviously ducks in the condo.
I was confused and asking where we would put them, and what we were going to do with them but he kept waving it off and saying all would be okay. He put them in our ensuite and started drawing a bath, and I told him he couldn't put them in the water because they were too little and still covered in down with no swimming feathers. He insisted that "It was fine" and dunked one in. Of course it didn't go well and I snatched up the baby and gently blow dried it.
Then we set up a little "duck area" in our ensuite, with a heat lamp.
Along comes the next day, and my SO is at work. I hear a knock on my door, and some guy with two little girls is at my door.
"We're here to see the ducks!" I was very confused, and told him that, sorry, no you can't come in and see the ducks. Apparently my SO had put an ad in the building inviting people to come see our ducks... and the guy stormed in our condo and they went into the ensuite (which means going through our bedroom, I was mad!) and so I was trying to chase them out, but then MORE people came and there were like 20 people packed in my condo trying to look at the ducks.
It was... interesting. My SO thought it was hilarious and confirmed it was definitely something he'd do. Oh my.

Re: Weird Duck Dream...
You're welcome Hekomi! Lol. The ducks! My friend has ducklings, they're so...inquisitive. And curious. They're trouble makers!
"Come in and see the ducks! This way, folks!"

Hahaha, I love ducks, my friend had a pet one. They're adooooorable!
But yeah, he said we should make a duck museum... lol. More likely it'd be a hamster museum.

Re: Weird Duck Dream...
I've raised 12(for a park, they have ducks for the kids, don't worry, it's safe) and may raise more this summer(this Saturday I'm going to he animal market so who knows what I'll bring back). They're fun. And they follow you, I love that!!! The dogs, however, do not.
I'm also trying to get duck/turkey eggs to hatch off .

Re: Weird Duck Dream...
Haha, I will. The animal market is my favourite day of the year(is that sad?). I'm bringing the Tweeses to show off and some other chicks to sell. And I want another bunny so badly....
Duck diaper.....lol. If my chickens had diapers....lol! I've seen them for sale. I might get some dirty looks from the flock...ha!

Re: Weird Duck Dream...
Well, you could bring them in the house?
I would love to go to an animal market, it sounds delightful! You should just invite us all down to a HC party at your place with all the critters.

Re: Weird Duck Dream...
Haha, yes, yes I could, lol. That would be hilarious! Reese comes in the house because she's so well behaved, but the rest need to stay at the barn, lol!
I'm a bit of a country bumpkin(and proud!), so I grew up with the Farmer's Market every Saturday. Now I go to the Stock Market, or Animal Market, once or twice a year as well. I used to go every Saturday, but it's 1 1/2 away so you get tired of the drive!
It's fun though, because you have your usuals, like there's an Amish man and woman who have the most gorgeous lion head rabbits, and there's a lady and her daughter who raise chihuahuas and mini pot bellied pigs! And then there's newbies, or people who got an animal who had a litter and want to get rid of them. Tons of ducks and rabbits these! I got Latte (rabbit) from a breeder there.

Oh Hekomi, that's hilarious! I had ducks a long time ago. They were Muscovies. I hope I don't start having duck dreams thanks to Colby's "fowl" posts now
