Your daughter will do very well at home schooling because you are getting 1-2-1 attention and learning, and you can improve on your flaws and grow with your strengths. I wish both of you the best of luck.

What an inspiration, you are! .. Congrats on your success.. I've learned just in 2 days of homeschooling, this is the best choice for my daughter. It's going very smoothly, although I'm sure there will be challenges along the way- you are correct, in that, I can give my daughter 1-1 attention, and work at her pace, review materials she may not understand, and stop at anytime, to give her more examples, and teaching. WE are enjoying our school time. Socializing, we are part of a few homeschool groups in my area, in which parents co-op plan outings, and play groups for children. It's a busy calendar if one chose to partake in the many activities and get togethers offered. best to you and ongoing success of your business, that's wonderful !

Yes- it's been an journey.. Children do not have the ability ( maturity) to filter, decompress, when they feel extreme anxiety, which ends in stress, thus internalize the stress, to anxiety or vice versa, which causes, the body produce, stomach acid, rapid heart rate, high blood pressure, hyperventilation, which in turn can lead to black out, fainting, vomiting and ulcers. In adults it's called IBS, however my daughter was given IBS medication, that for adults after a few doses, works very quickly- she did not get any relief from taking the IBS medication, nor the acid reflex meds- that's why she was referred to an cognitive behavioral counselor, whom, works with children, in which medication has no effect, teaching relaxation therapy, breathing therapy, and therapy on teaching kids understanding of the pain, cause and effects, coping skills that a child can relate to. My daughter was causing self inflected pain, to defuse her stomach pain, by, scratching her arm, very hard, durning the pain flare ups.. That was her way of coping . Although she has been given prescription pain medication, it had adverse side effects when she took them, and basically was a " zombie". I wanted a way for my daughter to be non medicated, if at all possible, as the medications were adding to her issues..( side effects). Her therapist has been instrumental with helping my daughter, in so many ways. My daughter is 9 yo, but her condition started at 8 yo .
With therapy I'm hopeful she will learn self administered therapeutic guided practices to at least minimize her stress, anxiety that she can use for the rest of her life..

Thank you... It's such a relief .. Yes, our hammies have been part of her therapy, which takes her mind off her pain- and brings her much comfort and happiness..

Such a shame she has been through so much and shocking that neither school could work with you to achieve the goal you wanted.
I hope you both do well with the home schooling.

Thank you.. I'm very proud of her . Yes, it's a shame about the school, but maybe it just was not to be .. Thanks, again

Good on you for getting your daughter out of that toxic environment

I'm so sorry... What horrible experience for you, bullying is never ok! I'm sorry your parents didn't consider homeschooling, there are very good programs available. Congrats on graduating!

Re: First day!
I've seen commercials on TV for a homeschooling program that is free, and is mostly done online, but there are standard materials, like books and such, that are used. Its called K-12 or something, and is part of the public school system. Its also self paced.
I know that its only one of many home school options, though.
