Today I went to a Thank You sale for customers at a large local pet store called Pet World. It was the most fun I've ever had at a pet store
. They had $.20 specials throughout the day, and 10 gallon aquarium kits for a $20 or $40 donation towards saving the ocean reefs. Also all the fish and plants were 50% off and they had hamsters plus cage kits for $20! Granted the cages they had were tiny, but I was tempted! Then they had a limited special on the 10 gallon kit for tropical fish with everything but fish for $20(!), so I got that
, and some plants for it and set it up today. It even came with liquid bacteria starter to seed the tank with good bacteria. I'm not putting fish in it til it cycles anyway, but still it was nice. My dog got a new rope toy for $.20, and my husband got a 2 gallon kit to try his hand at a micro reef saltwater setup for live rock and maybe a little crab or shrimp later. It was a super fun time, and I thought if I could share about it anywhere it would be here
It's just too bad I missed the $.20 bag of premium bird seed mix for little Percival! Also I entered a drawing to win a 75 gallon complete kit with stand, fingers crossed! It was a nice day
