Photography attempts!
Using the advice I received from HC members I've been trying to take some half decent pics of my hamsters! First I tried the food smeared on a surface trick to get her to sit still. Baby food was suggested but I thought I was being smart by using a bit of peanut butter because I figured it would take longer for her to lick it off! Might actually have worked but I quickly discovered that Peaches absolutely detests the smell of peanut butter and runs away from it I tried the action setting and had a bit of success with that. Zoom is best avoided but there were a couple of photos that I kept because they were really nice in spite of being fuzzy in closeup.
So without further ado, I give you...Peaches!

Re: Photography attempts!
Then Maggie came out and she really needed the action setting! She's always a very fast mover and she was scenting absolutely everything in the bathroom, climbing up my body, the walls, and just being generally impossible to photograph

Re: Photography attempts!
And would you believe, my patience paid off! I was finally able to get my hands on Suri for some out of cage time and pictures! I'll put some here but I think I should post a few that show pertinent parts of her anatomy over on the thread in the breeding section. I'll try not to post the same pics twice
Isn't she pretty?

Re: Photography attempts!
Hamster are not happy having their piccy taken are they. Neither of mine stay still long enough.
Great shots though, worth your time.

Re: Photography attempts!
Isn't she a beauty? I can't understand why, when I got to the door of the apartment where she lived, the person just thrust a closed cardboard box at me as if she didn't want me to see her first. The box was only 2" high too
