This year I have decided to do Race For Life, not only walking it but I am committing to run it (which will mean training etc) but it's for a worthwhile cause, cancer research.

My cousin lost his battle with cancer in January last year and my beautiful bunny Flake had to be PTS because of her cancer (she had never been spayed before I adopted her at 5 years old), not to mention my lovely rat Aslan who passed away with cancer, so it's not just people but the animals I've lost I am running for.

I am so sorry to hear about your cousin - well done for being strong and doing a run like this. I will definitely be interested to hear how you get on with things and I hope you reach your target and above!

My father, mother, 2 aunts, 4 uncles, and one of my sisters have all died from cancer. One aunt and one uncle are currently battling cancer. Needless to say, I hate that disease with a passion. Definitely let us know how it goes. I will be donating to your run. Practice hard; run well.

Peeps I am a bit sill and posted the wrong mobile code, its DWRL86 followed by how much you want to donate (eg £3) and its sent to 70070....

Thanks folks will keep you all posted with how much I manage to raise. Training begins this weekend which should be interesting as it will be after a night of drinking at a friends wedding
