Such a great cause and a wonderful memorial to your cousin (and pets!). Its a horrible disease and think it's something that's probably affected everyone in some way, I wish you the best of luck and will certainly be donating!

Re: I'm gonna run for charity
This is a great thing to do I'm also doing the Race for Life in Glasgow as well as the Kilt Walk, all in aid of cancer research. I lost my gran to lung cancer, an aunt battling breast cancer, an uncle with testicular cancer and my Dad has (fingers crossed) won his battle with prostate cancer. He was diagnosed at 49, a non smoker with only the rare drink, with a healthy lifestyle. That made me realise that this disease doesn't follow any pattern - anyone can develop it, so it's in all our interests to throw money into research.
The more that can be raised, the better. I'll be donating to you too Good luck with training!

Re: I'm gonna run for charity
Hope the training is going well. I also committed to doing race for life, this weekend in Edinburgh. Was initially planning to run but doing with a friend who will need to walk. So walking it this year. Mainly been doing my training inside on treadmill and will have to train again to run outside as having been outside once, know it's completely different and a lot harder on the pins. Lots being raised for cancer research in the coming few months. Good luck and enjoy.

Re: I'm gonna run for charity
Someday they will be able to deal with all the different forms of this dreadful disease. Practice hard, run well.

Re: I'm gonna run for charity
Little update for you all, my lovely mother in law has something called a mesonepheric tumor in her womb so has had surgery to remove the tumor, unfortunately it was wrapped around part of her kidney and bowl so parts of those had to be removed too but the good news is they think it's all gone they need to do tests on it in pathology and check to make sure it hasn't spread but its positive for the moment.
Update wise on training I have stepped things up, have been running outside to get practice on the ground as like you Suga I have been running a lot indoors on the treadmill but it's a lot different on the ground so been training there, feeling good for it and it's helping to focus on that with everything going on with my MIL.
Thanks once again to everyone for you positive support and comments.
